There are two types of Online Registration. (a) Player Registration: Player Registration is just that. This is a secure, easy, paperless way to register online using Credit/Debit or a Check for payment. Remember, Spring Season 2009 is first come first serve, and this is the best and easiest way to reserve your child's spot. (b) Volunteer Registration: It's obviously free to register as a Volunteer. Everyone from Coaches to Team Mom's need to register online. Clay Soccer Club want's to be organized, and improve communication. The best way for us to do that is to know who's doing what, and who's responsible for who what and where. So, after selecting your appropriate age group, please register as a volunteer, even if you don't have a role, if you just want to let us know that you will help if needed; Register, and leave comments as to what you'd like to do to help Clay Soccer Club. Thanks, CSC Write Comment (0 comments) |

Clay Soccer Club participated in the first Semi-annual CSC Day @ UAB on Saturday Night. CSC players saw UAB deafeat SIU 1-0 in a hard fought victory. All CSC Players who attended were ballboys and got an up close and personal view of the game at a high level. Jonathan Ruiz and Jeff Murray participated in a half time competition named "Bend it like a Blazer". The two CSC players were challenged to curl in a shot from 28 yards. For the first time this season both players converted their shot and received UAB t-shirts as a reward. Thanks to UAB Blazers and to Ernie Yarborough who helped facilitate the event. After Clay Soccer Club's Summer Skills Clinics, Coach Ernie Yarborough sounds off with praise for the players who have dedicated themselves to the sport this summer. Mr. Yarborough is the proud holder of a FIFA & USSF "A" License, which is the top tier of Coaching Licenses in the United States. After returning from his Skills Camp in Indiana, this is what Coach Yarborough had to say: "Thanks so much for having the UAB Men’s Soccer Program come out and be a part of the Clay Soccer Club’s Summer Skills Clinic Series. Over the course of our Summer Skills sessions we have been able to impact the skills development of over 50 Clay and Birmingham area soccer players and help them develop their dribbling, passing and Scoring skills. The clinic participants have worked really hard and shown some very good improvement! The UAB players and I are eagerly looking forward coming back out to Clay soon to help even more with player development at Clay Soccer Club. Thanks so much for all that you and Clay Soccer Club are doing to help the development of the Birmingham area soccer player. See you soon" We will be having more skills sessions between now and Opening Day. Check back here for updated information. Write Comment (3 comments) |
