This week's Featured Player of the Week is Josey McConnell:

Josey McConnell: U8 White Cougars: A great all around game, good control of the ball on offense, great defense and hustle. Josey has used the skills that she has learned in training!!  Keep learning Josey!!  Congrats!!

Daylan Crum: U6 Blue: Daylan has taken to soccer like a duck takes to water.  Daylan had a great game kicking goal kicks for us Saturday.  All of his kicks reached or passed the center line. This is Daylan first year to play, and he is really making great progress.  The first practice I had to really work one-on-one to get him to play our Sharks and Minnows game.  Now Daylan mixes it up with the rest of them.

Anderson Sloan: U8 Blue :  This is Anderson's second season to play for me.  He made several critical blocks for us especially in the second half.  I really enjoy having Anderson on my
team.

ladonna.jpgLadonna Scott: U6 Purple:  This is Ladonna's first try at soccer, and we are so proud of how couragous she has been.  She's showing steady improvement and we are proud that she is our player of the week!!!  Congrats Ladonna, keep it up!!

Joshua Lane: U10B Blue - Josh has been our most consistant player this season, playing defense for the Blue team.  He is a consistent hardworker both at games and at practice.  In this week's game he played stellar defense, allowing very little by him, and for those that managed to get by his quick feet, he ran them down.  Great job Josh!!
Parker Charles: U10B White - Parker has stepped up as one of the leaders of the white team, consistently working hard throughout the season.  In Friday's night game, despite the obvious age difference and the loss, Parker's defense skills kept the game close. Parker has emerged as one of our best utility players this season and continues to improve each practice and game.

Cyann Dunaway: League Leading U12 Girls:
Cyann played with a broke toe on her kicking foot.
she played a awesome defensive game to help your CLAY U12 girls win one to zero, and a great job to her team mates for sticking there when we had no subs. 3&1 way to go girls!!!
bwalker.bmp Benjamin Walker: U6 Lime-Green:  Benjamin showed great hustle and heart this week in the “Radioactive Crocodiles” game against the U6 green team.  The Lime team only had four players and therefore everyone played the entire game.  Benjamin was able to break away from the pack, dribble down field and put the ball in the goal several times.  However, just as importantly, Benjamin showed great hustle defensively by sprinting back on a couple of occasions to track down players from the opposing team that were by themselves and stopping them from scoring.  Great job and great hustle, Benjamin!  For your hustle, you are the U6 Lime team “Player of the Week!”
Morgan Coston: U12 Boys: Morgan scored three goals and recorded a pair of assist as Clay defeated two Vestavia teams 3-1 and 3-0. Coston leads the U12 team with six goals this season. The U12 team now has a 15-game unbeaten streak (10-0-5).
